Well, the day has come. My love of Ramen noodles has come and gone in one week. Matt will be devastated. A couple entries back, I mentioned a particular craving for Japanese food. Food which can cost around $12.95 a plate. Matt, of course, was overjoyed when I announced that I was craving Ramen Noodles, a dish many college students are quite fond of due to the cost, $0.15 per meal. I quickly rushed to the grocery store where I promptly bought several packages in Beef and Oriental flavors. (Chicken tends to turn my stomach). Well, a week of eating noodles for lunch has come and gone, and today as I sat down with a steaming bowl in front of me, I realized that I never wanted to see Ramen noodles again. Ah, the fickle stomach of the pregnant woman.
I haven't broken the news to Matt yet. He is at a hockey game tonight with his Dad and brother, Andy. The baby did get to enjoy a tasty treat tonight as I had dinner with my dear friend Kathryn and her family at Olive Garden. Yum. Chicken Vino Bianco. I know, I just said that childen turns my stomach, but this particular favorite still tastes good to me. It must be the fickleness again. I attended the Anderson College Homecoming game tonight with Kathryn. Her sis, Jennifer, did a lovely job representing the Freshman class on the Court. I enjoyed getting to tell several old friends about our "little miracle". I have to say though, I really wish that I looked "pregnant" so people would know that I'm getting chubby for a reason. I have bought two pairs of maternity pants, one from Old Navy and the other JC Penny clearance. My jeans are so uncomfortable to me, even with the blessed expansion provided by a cleverly placed rubber band.
Well, I must go for now. The microwave is beeping telling me that my reheated Chicken Vino Bianco is ready to be enjoyed for the second time. Goodnight everyone.
love,
Sara
