30 Week Checkup

This past Thursday Matt and I went to Anderson GYN-OB to see Dr. Duniho for our 30 week check up. We were the last patient to be seen; apparently Dr. Duniho had to make a run to the new hospital during his busy day setting his schedule behind. After a long wait we finally got to see the doctor. A quick measurement of my growing belly found that the baby appears to be growing right on target. His heartbeat continues to beat strong and fast. We asked Tim to give us a guess on how the baby was laying. I had been feeling the hiccups rather low in my abdomin and had wondered if the little guy was already in position. No, I was wrong. (You can tell this is my first baby.) His head could be felt a couple inches to the right side of my belly button with his feet down low. Apparently those steady beats weren't hiccups. Happy Birthday Home Groupers

June 10th we celebrated the June Birthdays in our Home Group. Brian and Becky were gracious enough to host our shin-dig. Yummy hotdogs and hamburgers, fresh corn on the cob and baked beans.... Just some of the festivities. Scroll down to see some of the fun!

the joys of mommy-hood

I think that I could spend hours just watching my belly. In fact, I'm supposed to be napping right now, but instead I'm sitting in bed eyes glued to my mid-section. You see, our Big Boy is awake right now and apparently having a very good time in mommy's belly. It must be play time. About 30 minutes ago, he had the hiccups. For a while now, I've felt the steady, thumping of his hiccups, but today I was able to see them! That's right. I can now see every toss and turn, every roll and kick, our little one makes. It all started this past Sunday. I was lounging in my beach chair at Myrtle, when all of a sudden my belly began to roll. I looked down as it began to change with each movement of the baby. I just sat there in awe. I have felt him inside of me for quite some time now, but to be able to see it with my own eyes was just amazing. I think I stared for 20 minutes, before running off to find Matt so he could see the tiny miracle. That same day my feet...

Freedom Weekend Aloft

Memorial Day Weekend, my sister Melanie and her hubby, Walker came to visit us. It was big weekend for Anderson as it was Freedom Weekend Aloft. It was a wonderful weekend, being with family and just having fun! I'll let the following pictures tell you the rest of the story! Sara

The wind kept blowing this balloon over.
So gorgeous!
The balloons are getting ready to take off! (Yes, I did cut all of my hair off!)
That's Melanie and Walker climbing. No, I did not attempt this one!
